The Dirty Weekend Race Series

THE DIRTY WEEKEND 2017.

ARE YOU READY TO GET DIRTY?

Falkland Trail Runners is pleased to announce The Dirty Weekend 2017. A series of three filthy races between Friday 28 July and Sunday 30 July 2017. The first Dirty Weekend took place in 2015, and this year's festival is set to be better than ever!

Three races with excellent flowing trails, some narrow and tight bits, some testing hills ... and the distinct possibility that you'll get your feet wet! We’ll use some of your favourite tracks, but we’re also taking you to parts of Falkland Estate we've never, EVER, used before.

Late Entries Available

We have 200 places up for grabs. Entries closed at midnight on Friday 14th July. There are still some spaces, so LATE ENTRIES are being taken - email events@falklandtrailrunners.org.uk. Transfers still had to be done by the cut-off date.

Early Bird Offer

Sorry, but the Early Bird discount expired on 31 May 2017.

The Races

Here’s what it’ll be like:

The Dusky Maiden Chase Friday 28 July 7:30pm

Fast, well-graded downhill for that WHEEE moment, a challenging technical section along a gorge, undulating downhills through trees, a couple of stiles to clamber over, some muddy bits, and a water splash! Plus, where else do you get to run BEHIND a waterfall?
Tufty's Revenge Saturday 29 July 6:30pm
Relive logo Approx 8km, mostly on well-graded paths, but including some interesting side tracks.
The Blue Brae Polka Sunday 30 July 2:30pm
Relive logo Approx 8km with a good mix of established tracks and trails. Some excellent "off-piste" running will add a bit of spice!
  1. silly hilly bits
  2. soggy boggy bits
  3. round abouty bits
  4. squirrelly birly bits
  5. splishy sploshy bits

Apres Race

Running is fine, racing is better, but a bun's more fun!

Saturday evening sees the Dirty Barbeque - burgers and buns for everyone. Bring your own sides and drinks. Free for runners and helpers. Cheap as Chips for friends. There won’t actually be any chips. But you get the idea!

Starts right after the Saturday race, until 11pm, including live music.

BOOK GUEST TICKETS FOR THE BARBEQUE - £4 each
